CORPORATE PARTNERS
Gene therapy is an area where cooperation between academia, the National Health
Service and industry are vital for optimal development of the field. The
British Society for Gene Therapy One of the ways to achieve
this is to invite companies with an interest in basic or clinical aspects of
gene therapy to join BSGT as Corporate Partners.
We aim to develop a close relationship with our Corporate Partners. A member of
the BSGT executive (Professor John Fabre) acts as the contact point with
Corporate Partners, in order to facilitate communication, discuss new ideas,
address any problems as they arise, and generally to ensure that the
relationship is of benefit to our Partner companies. Our objective is to work
with a maximum of around 5 Corporate Partners.
Our Corporate Partners are given, at no charge, the following privileges:
-
Company logos (with links to company websites) are prominently displayed on the
home page at the BSGT website. This provides highly focused advertising of
company profile, products, services and objectives to those interested in gene
therapy, and establishes a strong presence in the gene therapy community.
-
Corporate partners are allocated 10 minutes for a presentation to delegates at
the annual scientific meetings, to use at their discretion for communicating
company matters to the meeting.
-
Corporate Partners are given a full page in the programme booklet of the annual
scientific meeting, to use at their discretion for promoting company profiles,
products etc to delegates.
-
Corporate Partners are given a commercial stand at the annual scientific
meetings. The stands of Corporate Partners are (if possible) grouped together
and more prominent than normal stands.
-
Corporate Partners may nominate two members of their company to become members
of the Society.
-
Corporate Partners are given two guaranteed places to the social functions at
the annual scientific meeting.
-
Corporate Partners are given one guaranteed place at a Speakers/Council dinner
the evening before the annual scientific meeting. We hope that this will
provide an informal venue for exchanging ideas.
-
The British Society for Gene Therapy will also provide advice to our partners
regarding gene therapy if requested.
-
A stable and secure British Society for Gene Therapy will play a pivotal role in
the development of gene therapy in the UK, for example by organising exciting
annual scientific congresses, by acting as a repository of readily available
expertise for the NHS, industry and the media, and by exploring and pursuing
agreed objectives for the advancement of the field. We believe that a strong
BSG is best achieved by requesting that our Corporate Partners provide
financial support of £10,000pa, guaranteed for 3 years.
If you would like to discuss the possibility of joining BSGT as a Corporate
Partner, please contact Professor John Fabre on 020 7848 5142 or email:
